​As a family who has shared life with Golden Retrievers since 1996, we know firsthand the joy, loyalty, and unconditional love these incredible dogs bring into a home. Our family is made up of four humans—two energetic boys, my wife and I—plus our cherished cat, Jeff, and of course, our Golden Retrievers. Over the years, our Goldens have become so much more than pets; they are woven into the fabric of our daily lives, shaping our routines and bringing a unique warmth to our household. Their gentle presence and boundless affection have seen us through every season.

Our Goldens are true companions, always eager to be part of whatever we’re doing. They thrive on togetherness, whether that means romping through the backyard with the boys, curling up at our feet during family game nights, or simply following us from room to room, never wanting to miss a moment. Their loyalty is unwavering, and their ability to sense our moods—offering a comforting nuzzle or a playful wag when we need it most—never ceases to amaze us.

One of our favorite family traditions is heading to the beach, and our Goldens are always the first to leap from the car, tails wagging in anticipation. They are natural swimmers, plunging into the waves with pure joy, tennis balls with endless enthusiasm. Watching them race along the shoreline, ears flapping and tongues lolling, is a reminder of the simple pleasures in life. After a day of sun and sand, they’re just as content to snuggle up indoors, dozing contentedly.

Our Goldens sleep inside the house, sharing our living space and our lives. They are there for every milestone—birthdays, holidays, and quiet Sunday mornings alike. Their presence brings a sense of comfort and completeness to our family, and we can’t imagine our home without their gentle souls. We love them deeply, and they return that love in countless ways, every single day, reminding us of the joy that comes from sharing life with such devoted companions.
​At Goldenrayz, we are dedicated to breeding and raising Golden Retrievers in a loving environment. Each puppy comes registered with Dogs Victoria, and they leave us with a thorough health check, their first vaccination, microchipped, wormed and a helpful puppy pack for a seamless transition into their new homes.
Our mission is to ensure that every puppy finds a special forever home, while also equipping each family with the knowledge and preparation needed for their new furry friend. We’re here to support you every step of the way and continue to provide ongoing advice even after your puppy becomes part of your family!
We provide early exposure and socialisation for our puppies, ensuring they grow into well-adjusted companions.​ Our puppies are born and raised inside our home, surrounded by the warmth and activity of family life.
For the first 5 weeks, they live indoors where they’re closely monitored, weighed regularly, and gently introduced to a variety of household sights, sounds, and experiences. This helps ensure they’re healthy, thriving, and well-socialised right from the start.

At around 5 weeks of age, the puppies move to a larger, secure outdoor area equipped with a puppy gym and enrichment activities. Here, they continue to be exposed to new sounds, textures, toys, and interactions—building their confidence and helping them develop into well-rounded, curious, and resilient little dogs.

By the time our puppies go to their new homes, they are used to a family environment, familiar with everyday household life, and ready to settle in with their forever families—not anxious, but confident and content By introducing them to a variety of experiences, we confidently prepare them for a lifetime filled with love and joy in their new homes. Each interaction shapes their confidence and happiness, laying a strong foundation for their remarkable journey ahead in their new homes.​​

When the puppies are 6 weeks old, active, and playful, you’ll be invited to visit and choose your puppy—based on the order in which holding deposits were received.

​To support our new puppy families, we create a private Facebook group for everyone who has reserved a puppy. In this group, we share weekly updates throughout the early weeks—photos, training tips, and helpful information to guide you in preparing for your new companion. The group continues well after the puppies have joined their new families, becoming a supportive community where owners can share updates, ask questions, and receive ongoing guidance as their Golden grows.
